Computer education is very important in student’s career development. In this course, we’ll learn basic working of computers, including their theoretical and logical foundations, hardware and software devices, and their uses for processing information. In Unit first, we would learn about the fundamentals of computers like characteristics and generations of computers, types of computers and operating systems. That will help you in understanding and working of computer systems. In Second Unit, we would talk about the concept and components of networking and communicating devices. We would learn about the history of internet, working of networks and the terms associated with networks. In Third Unit, we would see what operating system is and how operating system works along with types of operating systems. Operating systems are very useful and important component of the computer system. So we need to know everything about the operating system. In fourth unit, we would start ms office package and would learn ms office and its uses. This is very helpful in our daily work, official work and for documentation purpose. And in fifth Unit, we would talk about the concept of spreadsheets, working on spreadsheets, data manipulation with worksheets in MS Excel. Ms Excel is quite important tool for storing, managing and processing data. Almost all businesses, companies, schools use ms office for various official operations.
